This is my favourite. Basically, you find journalist for your industry online, and you prepare them an useful article with and easy to digest infographic and other insightful visuals and forward it to the journalist. Normally, these peopel are up for quality material. You help them and in return they will publish your article mentioning you. Include your brand into the article's text as the source of the data, the main initiator, the owner of the dataset, the research, the invention, the partner, the service provider etc.

Biggest of this link builder is Kászoni Fery, but there are other sources where you can finetune or even automate this type of link building. Thre is a way how to make the complete process for free of charge but you can spend heavy hundreds of euros on tools to prepare big projects.

Link-builidng with locals

Local news portal, regional news portal, niche new portal link building

If the journalists welcome good content to publish, the local media channels are totally up for it and here the process will be limited probably to a few online magazines, local municipality website, school's website or any available local platform.

Contact them and ask for your opportunities. An article from the local online media is a great source to confirm your local presence.

HARO link builidng and HOAR link-builidng

Get quoted by journalists who are asking for solutions for their topic they publish an article for, this is HARO. Journalists write questions, problems seeking information, solution and you get yourself quoted in the article if all went well.

Small scale entrepreneurs use the Google operators and bigger businesses can still use Ahrefs and Screaming Frog to find on the Internet websites, which are talking about or mentioning their brands but the article owners doesn't link back to the brands in mention. Find them and ask them for a weblink. They ask for money? Negotiate for the optimal outcome. You can use Ahrefs to find out information about those websites. Target websites with higher performance.
